I really don’t know what fever dream inspired this one. After making it I felt a need to fill in the narrative blanks. All I have are impressions of the story behind this person and place. I think he was a high ranking member of whatever group he was a affiliated with. At this moment in his existence, he has just learned something that contradicts his beliefs, and this has emotionally damaging him. The high angle of the camera indicates that he is humbled. His eyes see something above him: probably the evidence that disproves his faith. He exists during a time that is about undergo great changes. The world as he knows it is about to be replaced. And the order he knows is about to be meaningless.
